My name is Sophia, but I am also known better as Sophie. I'm a 16-year-old student at Vinschool Central Park, currently partaking in AS Level Media Studies, something that I am very passionate about. While I detail my journey throughout the course, I hope you'll be able to find this learning experience as fascinating as I do.
Why choose Media Studies?
I've always been interested in the many aspects of production within the world of Media. As a young kid, I was fortunate enough to be allowed access to the internet and its many glories. More specifically, I watched YouTube videos for the majority of my childhood, which allowed me to develop a variety of skill sets early on, which included my fluency in the English language. YouTube videos in English have helped me significantly in my academic career, giving me knowledge of the differences in cultures and ideas from all around the world without even having to be there, and keeping me informed. This has inspired me to create film products like these on my own, with the hope of being able to help change the improve the lives of others just like how the media industry has helped mine.
In today's interconnected world, the power of media cannot be overstated.
